Lantern Light — Crafted in Yame, Fukuoka, Japan

This lantern-style light was developed in collaboration with a traditional lantern workshop in Yame, Fukuoka, a region with nearly 200 years of lantern-making tradition and renowned for its handmade washi paper.

Inspired by the timeless structure of Japanese lanterns, the design combines the soft texture of handmade washi paper with clean, intentional lines. The result is a lighting piece that also functions as a sculptural object, quietly complementing contemporary interiors. Even when unlit, its form brings a subtle sense of balance and calm to the surrounding space.

The Character of Light

At night, the gentle glow filtering through the washi paper does not simply illuminate a room. Instead, it creates depth and soft contours of light, bringing a calm and reflective atmosphere.

Designed to accompany everyday living, it fits naturally in spaces such as bedside tables, living rooms, or desks where a soft and relaxing light is desired.

Crafted using handmade Yame washi paper, known for its durability and delicate translucency.

مصباح فانوس — صناعة يابانية من يامي، فوكوكا

تم تطوير هذا المصباح على شكل فانوس بالتعاون مع ورشة تقليدية لصناعة الفوانيس في مدينة يامي بمحافظة فوكوكا، وهي منطقة تتمتع بتاريخ يقارب 200 عام من صناعة الفوانيس اليابانية، وتشتهر أيضاً بورق الواشي المصنوع يدوياً.

يستند التصميم إلى البنية الكلاسيكية للفوانيس اليابانية، حيث يجمع بين الملمس الناعم لـ ورق الواشي اليدوي والخطوط البسيطة والواضحة. والنتيجة قطعة إضاءة يمكن أن تُستخدم أيضاً كعمل فني نحتي ينسجم بهدوء مع المساحات الداخلية المعاصرة. حتى عندما يكون المصباح مطفأً، يضيف شكله حضوراً بصرياً هادئاً وتوازناً إلى المكان.

طبيعة الضوء

عند تشغيله ليلاً، يتسلل الضوء بلطف عبر ورق الواشي، ليخلق عمقاً وظلالاً ناعمة بدلاً من الإضاءة القوية المباشرة، مما يمنح المكان أجواءً هادئة وتأملية.

تم تصميمه ليتناغم مع الحياة اليومية، وهو مثالي لوضعه بجانب السرير، أو في غرفة المعيشة، أو على المكتب حيث تكون الإضاءة الناعمة والمريحة مطلوبة.

تم تصنيعه باستخدام ورق واشي يامي اليدوي المعروف بمتانته وشفافيته الجميلة.
