The softly rounded form is inspired by a traditional motif that has been appreciated for generations and is often associated with celebratory occasions. The shape is said to evoke a bird’s nest, long regarded as a symbol of prosperity and good fortune.
The Oshiki plate features a flat base, making it ideal for use as a tray or serving platter, while the smaller plate has a gently raised foot that adds a refined accent to the table setting.
Finished without glaze, the porcelain’s natural texture creates a modern gray tone with a clean, understated presence. Suitable for Japanese cuisine as well as Western and contemporary dishes, it blends effortlessly into a wide range of dining styles.
