Kashiwa

“Kashiwa” refers to the name of a leaf that was used as a plate in ancient times.
Inspired by this history, the ceramic plate expresses a sense of rustic simplicity and timeless character.

Formed using the traditional tatara slab-building technique, the plate features four small feet attached to a clay prototype, creating a gently irregular square shape with natural movement. The slightly curved surface is finished with combed textures, revealing evocative glaze pooling, subtle scorch marks, and a rich tactile feel.

Made from warm ochre-toned earthenware clay, it offers a comforting, organic presence. The back stamp features a charming logo inspired by the kashiwa leaf motif.

The translucent glaze allows the natural character of the clay to show through, highlighting its rustic and slightly rugged texture.

تشير كلمة "كاشيوا" (Kashiwa) إلى اسم ورقة شجر كانت تُستخدم قديماً كطبق بديل.
واستلهاماً من هذا التاريخ، يعكس هذا الطبق الخزفي بساطة ريفية بطابع عتيق وأصيل.

تم تشكيل الطبق باستخدام تقنية تاتارا التقليدية (تشكيل الشرائح الطينية)، مع إضافة أربع قواعد صغيرة إلى النموذج الطيني الأساسي، ليأخذ شكلاً مربعاً غير منتظم يحمل إحساساً بالحركة الطبيعية. يتميز سطح التقديم بانحناءة خفيفة وزخارف ممشطة، تكشف عن تجمعات طلاء عميقة وآثار حرق خفيفة وملمس غني يبعث على الإحساس بالدفء.

صُنع من فخار بلون أصفر ترابي يمنحه دفئاً طبيعياً. وتحمل الجهة الخلفية ختماً بشعار لطيف مستوحى من ورقة الكاشيوا.

ويتيح الطلاء الشفاف إظهار ملامح الطين الطبيعية، ليبرز ملمساً بسيطاً يميل إلى العفوية والخشونة الراقية.
